High School Mentoring

Beginning in August and culminating in May, volunteer mentors meet one hour a week (virtually) with their mentees.  The focus is on the college application process.

Volunteer Mentoring

  • Bachelor’s degree or greater

    • (degree can be from another country)

  • 1 hour a week commitment (August-May)

    • Mentor training for the first 20 mins of the hour with remaining 40 minutes spent mentoring your student. 

  • Fingerprinting and a background check

    • Must be able to be fingerprinted in East San Jose at the District offices

  • Residing in the state of California

    • even though we are virtual

  • Apply March–July for an August start
