College Mentoring

“Three quarters of college dropouts are first generation college students”
–Forbes 2021

College scholarships combined with individualized mentoring is the key to a low-income student’s timely graduation from a 4-year college.

The goal is to support, problem solve and coach your college mentee through to a Bachelor’s degree within 5 years.

College Mentoring Program

  • Mentors meet (virtually) every two weeks with their mentees freshman year.

    • Subsequent years–meetings are once a month

  • Areas of coaching:  academic support, interpersonal, finances, internships, career etc.

  • The full resources and expertise of the Reach Foundation support college mentors and their students

  • Annual summer meeting with the mentor, student and foundation to assess the year and renew their scholarship
